Bulls win their 4th consecutive National Championship

The Brussels Bulls Juniors finished an Undefeated 2012 season with their fourth consecutive Junior Bowl Championship in Andenne, with a 51-26 victory over the Brussels Tigers.  The high score of the game was indeed suprising given the weather conditions.  The Tigers were very effective in first half with their passing game and managed were only 2 scores behind at half.  However, in the second half the Bulls Defense tightened allowing only one score.  As the Defense tightened, the Offense continued as it did in the first half and pulled away with a 25 point win.

BULLS ON THEIR WAY TO 2012 JUNIOR BOWL

On December the 9th, the Brussels Bulls will play the Brussels Tigers for their fourth consecutive National Title.  The previous meeting between the two teams resulted in a 39-00 shutout by the Bulls.  This meeting however may prove more difficult for the Bulls as the Tigers will have a number of key players returning from injury.  After last weeks upset of the Monarchs, it appears the Tigers do have momentum on their side.  The Bulls should be quite healthy for this matchup after a one-sided victory over the Turtles allowed them to play many of their back-up players while resting those with any lingering injuries.  The forecast is for some very "Nasty" winter conditions in Andenne Sunday so this could be a very interesting game.

BULLS UNDEFEATED FOURTH STRAIGHT SEASON

The Bulls put the finishing touches on a fourth straight undefeated Belgian season with a 62-08 defeat of the Puurs Titans.  The Bulls were actually behind in this one for a short while with the score of 07-08, but from that point on the Bulls numbers proved too much for the Titans.  The Bulls Offense finishes the Season with an average score of staggering 57 points per game, and the Bulls Defense gave up a respectable 8 points per game.  It's now on to the playoffs to chase a 4th consecutive Belgian National Title.

                 2012 JUNIOR SEASON (Preview)

On September 22nd, the Brussels Bulls Juniors will open their 2012 season against the AFNORTH International School in Brunssum, Netherlands.  This will be the years first game in the DOD North Division.  Along with competing in the DOD North this fall, the Bulls will also be competing for their fourth straight National Championship in the  Belgian Football League.

There will be numerous starters returning for the 2012 campaign, two of which are coming off of stellar performances in the 2012 Senior Bulls season.  Tarik Abarkan started every game at middle line backer for the Seniors in 2012, and was runner-up for FFL Defensive Rookie of the year.  Brian de Caluwe was Junior_Schedule_2012an all-around talent for the Senior team in 2012.  Brian was the top Kick-Off Returner in the FFL with 24.8 yrd return average, was third in the FFL in Punt Return Average, started every game at Tight End, as well as rotating at Full-back and Outside Linebacker.  In total the Bulls will be returning 10 starters from the 2011 Championship Team, as well as Dylan Pierquin who will be returning to the team for his final year after studying for the past year in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.

Along with returning players from the 2011 Bulls, there will be several players form the 2011 (Developmental) team moving up as well.  After a very impressive Championship performance in the 2012 Iris Bowl this past Spring it appears these youngsters are set to make an impact this season as well.   The 6 vs 6 season begins on September 23rd at the Tournai Pheonix.
